Obituary

The family are devastated to announce the passing of Adam Roland John Levesque, who left this world on July 13, 2026, at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary, Alberta. Adam was born on April 11, 1990, in Edmonton, Alberta, and his journey through life touched all who knew him with its warmth, humor, and depth.

Adam grew up in Whitecourt, Alberta, where he first nurtured the many gifts that would come to define him. From a young age, Adam was known for being kind, generous, and funny—a soul who lit up every room he entered. He quickly became known for his great sense of style and an innate attention to detail that found its way into all aspects of his life. Adam was someone filled with knowledge, always curious and eager to learn, and he combined that with an exceptional organization and confidence that made him a natural leader.

His talents were as varied as they were remarkable. Adam was a talented heavy equipment operator by trade, respected for his skill and dedication. Yet, it was his creativity that made him shine even brighter. A true artist and musician, Adam could paint and draw, design and create tattoos, and was blessed with the rare gift of music. He could play the drums, guitar, piano, and sing—forming and leading his own band. Adam not only produced beautiful melodies but also loved to write, crafting words as skillfully as he strummed chords. Whether behind the wheel of heavy machinery, a canvas, or a set of drums, Adam poured his heart into everything he did.

He was endlessly resourceful—mechanically inclined and able to fix almost anything that needed mending. He was also a great cook, preparing meals with the same care and creativity that flowed through every other facet of his being. Faith was a cornerstone in Adam’s life; he was a deeply religious man, holding onto his beliefs with conviction and comfort.

The love story between Adam and Jessica was a glowing chapter in his life. Together, they moved to Cochrane to start a new life, and their almost five years together—just a month shy of that milestone—were filled with love, laughter, and dreams built side by side. Adam was also deeply devoted to Benjamin, his amazing son - his proudest accomplishment. He cherished his role as a father, and loved Benjamin unconditionally.

Adam’s impact extended beyond his immediate family; he was a beloved son to Carol and Roland, a treasured brother to Matthew and Kristen,  and held dearly by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and his many wonderful friends. Each of them carries memories of Adam’s kindness, leadership, wit, and loving nature—qualities that defined his life and purpose.

The loss of Adam Roland John Levesque is keenly felt by all fortunate enough to have known him. In every memory, whether it is the sound of his laughter, the taste of a meal he cooked, a song he played, or a kind word he offered, his spirit endures. His legacy—his love for his family, his creative passions, and the indelible mark he left on those around him—will live on as a source of comfort and inspiration.

Though his time came far too soon, Adam’s presence will be remembered always, and his story will remain etched in the hearts of his loved ones.

A celebration of life is being planned in the coming weeks in Whitecourt.  Details will be shared here when available.
