Harold Trevor Waterhouse

April 27, 1930 — June 8, 2026

Cochrane, Alberta

Harold Waterhouse was a beloved character in Cochrane and lived his last few years in Hawthorne Seniors Care in Fireside. He was known as “Mr. Mighty Fine” and was well loved and cared for.

Harold was born in North Battleford to Trevor and Mabel Waterhouse and grew up on the family farm near Paynton. He carried his prairie roots with him wherever he went and was forever a proud Saskatchewan boy.

Harold was predeceased by his parents, brother Bob(Gerri) Waterhouse, sister Ruth(Chris) McNaughton, his beloved wife and daughter Anna and Cheryl. He leaves behind his son and daughter-in-law Tom & Krista Waterhouse. He was a special Grampa and great Grampa to Miranda(Matthew), Evelyn & Elizabeth, Mark(Carly) and Anthony, Sylvie(Morgan) Brody, Amelie, Anna and Jack, Josh, Aiden & Zachary, Aimee & Ella. Known as “Unc” Harold leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews. He was a beloved friend to many and had a wonderful relationship with Russ & Marlene Kinakin.

Harold was a positive member in many organizations and church groups in Calgary until 2009 when he and Anna moved to Cochrane living at Lofts on the Bow where he developed many friendships.

Harold was water baptized in 2003 at Brentview Baptist and said then “it was better to be safe than sorry”. He had a strong but quiet faith in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Harold was diagnosed with Parkinsons at the age of 65 and was an active member of the Parkinson’s Society in Cochrane attending their monthly meetings. He never missed their yearly Parkinson’s walk that he cherished with his friends and family by his side. In lieu of flowers a donation to the Parkinson’s Society of Alberta would be greatly appreciated.

The family extends their deepest thanks to the wonderful staff at Hawthorne and a special thank you to Emma, Madison and John.
