Jamie Judith Templeton, resident of Cochrane passed away at Foothills General Hospital in Calgary on March 12, 2026, aged 43. Jamie was born in Blairmore, Alberta on November 24, 1982, the second child of Scott and Judith Templeton (nee Reaume).

As a child growing up in Fort St. John, she enjoyed camping, fishing, horseback riding, highland dance, and other sports. She was also busy with piano lessons, playing with Mikey, the family dog, and spending time with her grandparents on their farm.

After graduating from high school, Jamie attended Mount Royal University in Calgary. She went on to a successful career as a bookkeeper and real estate agent.

While raising two children, she enjoyed yoga, Qigong, and devouring book after book. She also made time for animals of all sorts and more horseback riding. Having a creative spirit, she knit and crocheted, making numerous critters for those dear to her. Her early love of music continued as she learned to play ukulele and guitar. Jamie also instilled a love of music in her children and nurtured their talents. 

Her creativity extended into the kitchen, preparing special foods and delicacies.

As an active community member, Jamie volunteered at her children’s schools, at the Cochrane Humane Society fostering kittens, and she was a 4H leader.

Survived by her partner, Dragan, her daughters, Faith and Nina, her stepsons, Marko and Teddy, her parents, Scott and Judy, her brother Daniel (Adriana), nieces Leia and Grace, and many other extended family members.

Jamie will be remembered for her kindness and infectious positivity, as well as her passion for animals. She was a loving mother and devoted sister and aunt.

A memorial service will be held to honour Jamie on Sunday April 12, 2026 at 1:00 pm, at the Schubert Center in Vernon, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent in memory of Jamie to the Cochrane Humane Society or the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre.
