Obituary

With sadness, but with gratitude for a long life well lived, our family announces the passing of our mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Robin Harvie, at 93 years of age. She was born in Calgary at the Holy Cross hospital to parents, David and Jean Williams, and was an only child. She attended schools in Calgary and then went to the University of Alberta, achieving a Bachelor of Commerce degree (1953). It was at the U of A that she started dating Dad (Neil), and they married in 1954 and moved to Glenbow Ranch. Mom was a city girl, but quickly adapted to ranch life, raising a family of 4 children while supporting Dad in his ranching career. In 1997, they left the ranch and moved to GlenEagles in Cochrane. Dad died in 1999 and Mom stayed at GlenEagles for 20 years. In 2017, she moved into Grande Avenue Village where she happily lived out the rest of her life.

Robin is survived by her 4 children, Pauli (Tim) Smith, Tim (Tracy), Carol (Terry) Raymond, and Katie Harvie (Jerry Sawley), 10 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at the All Saints Anglican Church (404 Fourth Ave N, Cochrane, AB) on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 1:30 pm.

The family would like to thank the Grande Avenue Village, the Foothills Hospital, and the Rosedale Hospice for the kind and compassionate care for Mom.

If you wish, donations in her memory may be made to the All Saints Anglican Church in Cochrane or to the Cochrane Foundation (www.cochranefoundation.ca)
