Richard "Rick" Jacob Toth

With deep sadness, we announce that Richard Toth passed away in Calgary, on Saturday, June 13, 2026.

Rick was a loving husband, a caring brother, and a skilled Drafting Design Manager. He was born and raised in Welland, Ontario, attended school in Toronto before moving to Calgary and then settling in Cochrane, Alberta.

After graduating from Humber College in Toronto as an Architectural and Design Technologist specializing in drafting, Rick embarked on a rewarding and successful career designing homes. For more than three decades, from 1995 to 2026, he shared his talent and creativity with several respected home builders, including John Hadden Homes, Landmark Homes, Homes by Avi, and Green Cedar Homes.

Rick had a true passion for architectural design and found inspiration everywhere around him. He especially enjoyed building with LEGO blocks, often using them to explore ideas and spark creativity. Deeply influenced by the timeless work of Frank Lloyd Wright and other renowned architects, Rick brought both imagination and craftsmanship to every home he designed. His ability to transform ideas into beautiful, functional living spaces was a gift that reflected not only his professional expertise but also his genuine love for the art of design.

Rick will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 35 years, Stacey Toth; siblings, Ted Toth of Welland, Ontario, Donna (Domenic) Senses of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Tim Toth of Niagara Falls, Ontario; nephews, Tyler, Ryan, Felicity, Benjamin, Zach, and Elijah. He was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Joseph; grandparents, Bertha, Jacob, Joseph, Julia.

A Memorial Service will be held for Rick at RockPointe Church - Bowridge (12 Bowridge Dr NW, Calgary, AB T3B 2T9) on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at 2:00 PM.
