Roberta Ruth King

Roberta King passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2026 at the age of 88 years.

Roberta was born in Brandon, Manitoba on April 13, 1938 and was the oldest of five children. Her mother passed away when she was 9 years old which left her responsible for caring for the family at an early age.

Ralph and Roberta met in Brandon, Manitoba and in 1958 were married and enjoyed 68 years together. Roberta is survived by her husband, Ralph, and her children, Peter, Brent, Robert, Kelly, and Barbara. Roberta was predeceased by her parents and two of her children--Timothy in 2011 and Dorothy in 2025.

Throughout their marriage they lived in Manitoba, New Brunswick, BC, and Alberta. She was always willing to hep with various business ventures whether it be operating a restaurant, or helping with property management.

Ralph and Roberta moved to Cochrane in 1994 and she worked in the kitchen of the Bethany Care Centre for 13 years. Ralph and Roberta retired from property management in 2018.

Roberta was a friend to many. She will be dearly missed.

A memorial service to honor the life of Roberta will be held on August 18, 2026, at 3:00 pm, at Frank Wills Community Hall, located at 405 1 St E, Cochrane, AB. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roberta's memory to STARS, Big Hill Haven, or the Cochrane Activettes.
